    I didn't do the conversion, but you should be shooting for 89-90F for a hot spot.

    what do you mean next to the heat pad? It should be in the middle of the heat pad to get an accurate temp. If it is next to it the probe is not getting the actual temp.

    Remember you can't trust the stat temp setting ... it's just a guide .

    You have to check the surface temps with a suitable thermometer ( not a useless stick-on one ) then adjust the stat setting accordingly
