Burns, red dots, skin problems, and fasting? Personally, I wouldn't pay money for someone else's problems.

Yeah, definitely not. You're asking for trouble, and you want as an enjoyable and stress free time as you can get with your first BP. I recommend buying captive bred from a breeder. You'll get a healthy, feeding, beautiful snake, and often for less money than they ask for at the pet stores.

definately not. Go to www.constrictors.com and email Mike Wilbanks, He is really nice, and has quality animals for good prices. I think they are 50-75$ including shipping (wich is 30$). I got one from him and I am really satisfied.

I have a feeling that the original poster lives outside of the United States. If so, shipping from Mike would probably be closer to a few hundred dollars (at least, depending on where it's going), after you factor in CITES permits and the overseas cargo charges.

Finding local breeders outside of the United States is tough, but certainly possible. Ozone, what country are you from, maybe someone can point you in a better direction than a pet store?

Oh, I thought he was in the US or Canada. Well, if you are in the US or CA he is good to buy from.

Canada would be the same. It's illegal to use an overnight carrier like UPS or FedEx to ship a ball python to Canada.

Dont support pet stores that treat their pets badly.
If people continue to buy goods from inhumane stores, you are helping that store stay in business and they will continue to buy and sell sick or hurt animals.
Give your business to the companies that deserve it.
