When mine was a baby, his favorite hide was a piece of "moss mat" rolled up into a tube. As he grew I'd cut bigger pieces to make bigger tubes, until he got big enough that it would flop over and not really stay in a nice tube, and then he quit using it in favor of other hides. He does still like tubes though.
