I think you’ll find a lot of people use ambient room heat for keeping their collection warm. Think about it, it’s what most breeders do. I think you’re much safer staying on the cool side vs. running the risk of overheating. I use infrared bulbs and make sure the house is always around 74 to 76 depending on the time of the year. And I set my “hot” side to about 87 to 89. I don’t like to let it get much hotter. I’ve posted about two of my boys being around 1600 grams, they do better when younger being a little cool. But that’s just my opinion. Hope this helps.
