You can put some rocks or crumpled newspaper inside the new hide. That'll make it feel more snug for your snake.

Oh that hadn't occurred to me! Thanks for that tip. I think I will do that as a temporary solution because her RBI's are a week out right now. I have a bad habit of ordering things on Mon/Tues(this is when I adult and figure out what I need to order/buy and organize my life) so I never get anything before 6/7 days. XD

Anyway, I really don't want her to sacrifice her belly heat for security, so I will try to make it more snug so that she's not going another week without proper temperature access.

Still switching to RBI's for her, and later on for Mosaic as well when she needs new hides.
