Wanted to share a picture of my little guy because I'm bored. 😊

I'm sorry that you lost your mother at such a young age, life isn't always fair...but sooner or later, we all have to deal with losses, and the love of our
    animal-family really does help.
Thank you Booger. I was adopted. And my mom the love of my life didn't have any other family. So my pets are my family. And 2 close people friends as wel. And I love them all so much. I'd do anything for any of them. Especially my pets. I need them as much as they need me.

Also thanks. I'm still grieving and I'm looking for a therapist as well bc I think I need help it's so hard sometimes. Like yesterday was pretty hard. But! I find that handling Akosua calms me and settles my mind. I don't over do it. But days like yesterday I had him out for about 10 mins just looking at him checking his belly his scales his temps in the cage the usual check up stuffs we all should do, and you know that feeling that snake feeling that I can't explain of their scales? Like the smoothness? Idk how to explain the feeling but you know. It helps a lot. I guess what I mean is it's soothing.

That and knowing that I'm helping him. It feels nice.

Sometimes I feel bad for people who are really afraid of snakes. Snakes are wonderful creatures. The best.

Snakes are very soothing pets to have around...not "demanding" of attention the way many other kinds are, but I like the feeling of being "one with nature"
    when I hold them.

Yes not demanding! That's right Booger! What a lovely way to explain it. And it makes them a joy to be around and care for bc like... Idk you worded it so perfectly. Cats and dogs need attention all the time. And it can be draining tbh. But snakes you care for you look at. The "at one with nature" hits the target of feeling Booger . And then you put them back in their home and you can go a few days without babying them. And have a life. Haha

I love also how their enclosures if you like the natural look bring nature into the hope as well. The light if you have them on a 12 hour light set up feels sunny. And the greenery and he substrate. Is like a piece of the forest in your home. Idk it's all amazing! I geek out about it. Haha

I think that another reason that keeping snakes (or similar creatures) is so soothing is because we cannot control the wide world around us...there's chaos &
plenty of bad things going on, but in some way we mentally join our pets in the "perfect world" we make for them...it's something we CAN control & make sure
all is well...and that just makes me feel better about all the rest somehow, and maybe it does for you too? (-does that make sense?)

When it comes to human families, remember that many of them are far from perfect...some are actually quite toxic. While most people only mean blood relatives
when they talk about "family", I think that those we can be close to, trust & be "real" with, whether relatives or not, those special people are our true family. I can
only imagine the huge loss you feel for your mom, but you already have some special friends in your life and trust me, there will be more. And we never lose our
loved ones when we keep them in our hearts.

Ok I'll consider telling over there. What I said here really was the shortened version. Maybe over there I'll share more in depth.

Also glad you like the name!

He's got such a cute face! I'm sorry that you've had to go through something so awful, but it's wonderful you've been able to bond with Akosua over it and help each other out.
