Thanks!! As you know this guy is my only snake so I can't offer any comparison, but for the past 2.5~ months he's been a dream! I've talked about this before here - I'm glad I wasn't scared away by the prevailing notion that Nics are aggressive; Rembrandt has never shown any sign of striking and he's more shy than moody, but still stretches out to explore when he's taken out. I'd say if the breeder/seller can vouch for the snake's personality a Nic can be fantastic. Personally, I like that they're less commonly kept, they're so underrated! He's wicked pretty overall, but that tail! Wow! Such a gorgeous red and white contrast. I'm getting dangerously close to getting a boa myself (if my new AP T8 ever arrives!). I'm torn between a Nic, like your's, and a Hog island. Love the colors of the Nic, but I've heard Hogs can't be beat temperament-wise.
