Sorry about all the questions, but does the Ring have to be white like a pied to be classed as a Ringer.

no, not really. if it's white and completely wraps, that's a full finger. as i mention, there are various stages of ringers. they can be abrupt disruptions in patterns, super blushed, partially white or full white rings (or more).

I ask because I have seen pics of what people have called Ringers, but they are very faint or faded.

here are a few examples of my own ringers:

the top one, a Black Pastel het Pied, has a melted pattern ringer and the bottom Black Pastel YB het Pied has a blushed ringer w/ a lil bit of white.
