A Question Out Of Curiosity
From time to time I read of someone having a snake with a ringer, and the owner often seems quite excited about this.
My questions are as follows:
Does a Ringer add any value to a snake?
Is a Ringer able to be passed on genetically?
Is a Ringer a marker for any specific trait?
Just curious to know, all answers will be appreciated.

yes, it can but it depends. breeders may charge more for quality or it's visual appeal or genetic potential and buyers may deem it worthy.

sure. for example, i have a Dave Green Champagne-combo from his extreme ringer-line. it basically looks like a mid-white Pied. DG-line Champagnes have consistently thrown mid to high white ringers. Dynasty Reptiles (DR) also has a line of their own ringers.

if it comes from a Pied parent (or has had Pied in it's lineage), it can be an indicator for being het Pied. otherwise it's mostly just another (random) pattern like a paradox.

I started checking my snakes last night for Ringers.
I found my Pastel Mojave male with what looks like a Ringer. I will take a pic over the weekend and post on Monday.
Thank you for your valuable input.

Sorry about all the questions, but does the Ring have to be white like a pied to be classed as a Ringer.
I ask because I have seen pics of what people have called Ringers, but they are very faint or faded.

no, not really. if it's white and completely wraps, that's a full finger. as i mention, there are various stages of ringers. they can be abrupt disruptions in patterns, super blushed, partially white or full white rings (or more).

here are a few examples of my own ringers:
the top one, a Black Pastel het Pied, has a melted pattern ringer and the bottom Black Pastel YB het Pied has a blushed ringer w/ a lil bit of white.

this one has a complete ringer (w/ some unusual pixels going on):

this lil Champagne has a partial white ringer and white ringer tail tip:

and this is another Champagne w/ an extreme ringer:
