Pumice Stone?

My little guy (95g BP) is about to go into shed. I've increased the humidity, but looking at hide tub with just his water bowl, hide, and aspen shavings, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to put a pumice stone in there with him when he's shedding to help him out?

I have the little half-log hides in my vivs and my BPs have done fine. So maybe picking up a cold-side hide that has a rougher texture could help.

I had the same type of concerns but my 2 BPs have had perfect sheds without adding anything. They’re in tubs with two hides and a water bowl on paper towels. My shy guy has some fake plants but I doubt that’s what he’s using.

They definitely do not need a pumice stone. They are quite capable little creatures when it comes to shedding.

Cant hurt. Brothers snake loved his(no mites or anything just loves a good scratching). Cousins snake was scared of it. Try regular rock with no sharp edges to begin with to see what happens, just sanitize (through heat or washing) first to see reaction.

You are overthinking it is, if provided with proper humidity even a snake in a bare minimum setting will shed.
