I would have to respectfully disagree. In my experience, ball pythons are much more consistent eaters when fed smaller food items. Some of the "my ball python won't eat" problems you hear about can be linked to the owner feeding them way bigger meals than they actually need.Originally Posted by Brandon.O
I feed my adult ball pythons nothing larger than a small rat. Even my females that are 5+ feet and as thick around as footballs will only get a small rat.
If after the first small they are looking for more, I'll give them a second. But that's about it.
And all of my ball pythons eat for me every time they are offered food. Go figure!![]()
