    Uth with bin cage?

Hi! So I'm thinking of upgrading my new bp (in the future) to a bin instead of a tank. I was going to go with a bin cage originally but I couldn't find much about whether or not you can use uth's with them and the little that i could find all had different opinions. So, in your opinion, can you use them together?
(Btw, to anyone who read my thread the other day, he's doing soo much better now! he ate and has been hiding since then )

Like with any enclosure you must have a RELIABLE thermostat that's all that is required.

Oh yeah I know! I have one
I was just concerned about it maybe warping/melting the plastic (which seems kinda silly to me now because I doubt it could even get that hot lol)

If it is on a thermostat, as long as there is no failure, it shouldn't be on enough to build heat to the point of melting. Also, if it can melt a tub, it is dangerous to the snake and that is your bigger problem.

From some quick searching, tubs made of polypropylene and polyethylene are most common from what I can tell (i.e. sterilite) and the melting points for those materials all appear to be well above 200 degrees F or even over 300F.

I use UTH plus therm on a tub for my bp. He is doing really well, humidity is never a bother, and you can add the same kind of decor minus the wallpaper and get more space for less $ compared to glass tanks. Imo, I love it. I check on him daily to make sure everything is fine. I used to worry about that too but really once it is set up, you will see that fear is no different than the same fear of the glass cracking in tanks due to a failed therm.

Been using tubs for over a decade with no warping or melting issue

Thanks I think I'll definitely be putting him in a larger bin once he gets a bit bigger
