Re: Any Reliable Shop for Green Tree Boa?
Hey there, based on your old posts, you seem to have quite a knack for wanting snakes that have very precise care requirements and and are not very forgiving of husbandry errors. I'm not sure if you were referring to a Green Tree Python or an Emerald Tree Boa, and I don't have any suggestions on where to get either, but I sincerely hope that you do extensive research on their care before bringing one home. Good luck!

Re: Any Reliable Shop for Green Tree Boa?
yes dear, yes
fortunately or unfortunately! i started with a BRB, and he is so nice!! but always in his hide.. and in these 2 years, i learned a lot, about caring and environmental adjustments...
However, since 2 months ago, i fell in love with emeralds!
how do you are with your snakes..? you're satisfied or... 😅?

Emeralds are harder to find. Best advice is check the ETB boards on FB. Northerns are going to be a lot easier to find and a lot cheaper but still not that cheap. Amazon Basin ETBs are going to be pretty hard to find and run you about $5000+
Also be aware that ETBs and GTPs generally are not going to be a snake that you handle regularly. You might get lucky. Pat my GTP is a laid back worm that doesnt seem to mind being taken out on his perch and sat down in my hand. If he is in his 'curious' mode, he will usually wander onto me and sit there. Also if i leave his door open at night, he will usually climb out and sit on the top of the swing door with his lower half and park his head and upper half on top of the cage outside. But again, he is laid back and i gave him lots of time to settle in. In the past 8 months i've had him, i have handled him probably 5 times or less.

Re: Any Reliable Shop for Green Tree Boa?
thanks Sauzo..
i see what you want to say; but what's the benefit of an always-hidden snake? (Like my BRB which i handle every week or anytime i want... but always in his hide!) besides, i enjoy watching these exotic pets more than handling them, like my Mexican Red knee tarantula... and these coiling snakes always show off their shapes...! and i love that !
(excuse me for my poor english writing!)

Well i was more thinking of a GTP or ETB vs a boa or retic. I always am bugging my boas and retic and Caesar the retic seems to actually enjoy the interaction(as much as a snake enjoys stuff). He is always out at the front of the cage in the evenings and when i slide open a door, he is right there for petting and lays there when i pet him.
Pat the GTP actually never hides. He is usually on one of two spots during the day, either the back perch on the right side or the front perch in the center. At night though if he is hungry, he is all over the place cruising around.
I dont own a BRB so i dont know about them them but all my boas and dumerils are out almost 24/7. They only hide when they are shedding. The only snake i have that hides most of the time is Dottie my pied BP. She is usually inside here hide but i do find her outside stretched out once in a while.
