Not a good day for eggs

Well I went to the local Reptile show today. Had to meet my supplier for my feeders. Got home and my pastel het albino had laid. Pairing was a toffino x pastel het albino. Her prove out clutch. Totally 6 eggs. 5 of which are slugs. 6th egg looks a bit weak vein wise but went into the incubator anyhow and we will hope for good things from it. Pictures will be coming

Well, that's a little depressing, isn't it? But don't give up on the last one, & there's always "next time".

Yeah she will be going back to him next season as well. I'm hoping the egg makes it. It has a rather large window and not really good veins but I've seen worse hatch. And definitely hopefull it proves her het.

I'm sorry to hear for your lose. Keeping the fingers crossed for the one with veins. Toffee is allelic with albino and just a double het for both genes right? Are there any of recessive traits that are allelic and produce visuals carrying only one copy of each gene? Make sure and keep us posted on the egg! best wishes!

Yes toffino= het albino and het toffee. So as long as mom gave a albino gene I'll get something visual. 50% chance. But for a clutch when you are trying to prove a het you definitely want more than one egg. I bought her as a yearling. And grew her out so I can't guarantee she's het until I produce one visual. So here's hoping the odds God's are kind this time
