Traveling 2 in a half hours to pick up a BP.
Hi, I'm going to go pick up a new BP that is about 2 in a half hours from me and I wanted to know if I need a way to keep em warn during the trip or if he will be fine.

I like to transport my snakes short distances is snake bags placed inside cheap coolers from Walmart. You can get those styrofoam ones for something like $2 each. If you don't have a snake bag, you an also use a pillowcase.

Depends how cold you keep your car if you have the AC full blast on 66 degrees, just have him in a snake bag or deli cup and in a small styrofoam cooler it will be enough.

When ever I would travel with my snakes, I would use a cloth bag/ pillow case tied off and put inside a vented cooler. Depending on the time of year I might be tempted to use a heat pack and or set the heater/air conditioning to what works best. I’m sure others will chime in with more suggestions. Best of luck.

Same here...even for short trips, I ALWAYS use an "ice chest" or styro-foam cooler to keep my snakes at stable temperatures & protected both from overheating
(don't underestimate sunlight streaming in through car windows) or from being too cool (A/C included). If it's a long trip, you won't want to be too warm & sticky
just so your snake isn't chilled...this way, everyone's comfortable & safe. (A cooler with some padding inside will help protect your pet from a quick stop also).
Snakes travel very well...I've gone halfway across country with a car-full packed this way; scenery is not their thing, they stay relaxed & comfy under wraps. A
couple hours riding in a car is nothing for them.
