Can I move my BP when shedding?
I was planning on doing a deep clean if my BP's tank today. Well I lifted up his hide to find that he's in blue. Do you think it would be okay to move him while I clean his tank, or should I wait until after he sheds?

I would have no qualms doing so unless the snake was new, ill, stressed, aggressive, not eating steadily etc.

Agreed.
I wouldn't do much handling, but moving him to a snake bag, or temp tub or something while you clean is fine.

Re: Can I move my BP when shedding?
When my guys are shedding, I do my best to leave them alone as much as possible, but thats just my take. I havent heard of anything bad happening moving them during shed, if anything, I had to do the same thing the other day because they dirtied their enclosure. Just note that if theyre in blue, they will be much more defensive since they cant see, and you risk being tagged.

Re: Can I move my BP when shedding?
I try not not mess around with my snakes when I know they in shed, I got my female bcl out tonight and realised she had gone into shed so I did a quick spray of the bark and a few spots cleans and put her straight back

I agree with the other posts here...minimal "handling" (for routine maintenance) is just fine, but don't be shocked if your normally-calm snake is "cranky".
They are simply more defensive at this time.

Re: Can I move my BP when shedding?
I dont think its the end of the world to move a bp in blue but I would hold off a few days for the cleaning since 90% of the time with a shed they also let go of anything else inside of them so youd have a dirty enclosure all over again.

This. If this is just a routine deep cleaning then hold off until after the shed as most snakes make a mess when they pop the shed.
