My BP is currently in a 20 Long on a counter just outside of our kitchen with the recommended husbandry (79-81 on the cold side and 89-93 on the warm side, both depending on time of day, with 60% humidity, cypress mulch, 2 hides on each side, water dish, ambient temp around 80). Okay, now that that's out of the way, haha
The counter is situated where the ambient light from our kitchen fixture lights up the enclosure. It's not a lot of light or direct light by any stretch of the imagination, but it's enough that I can sort of see what's going on when I look in (if that makes sense). We keep that light on, when we're home, from about 2 pm-11:30 pm. I heard that BPs need a 12 hour day/night cycle. Does keeping the light on that long upset her day/night cycle? Or am I thinking too much about it? She has about 8-9 hours of almost complete darkness, if that makes a difference. Sorry if this is a weird/irrelevant question, my husband and I are pretty new to BPs and we want to make sure we're doing everything as best as we can be.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that we also have the 3 sides blacked out, as well as most of the top covered up, so the only light coming in would be from the front
