What to use for climbing sticks?

I wasn't sure if we could use sticks from the woods around us, is that a possibility? I just want something natural looking that my girl can climb on if she wants.
Ok .... so you wan't to be searching online or ringing people up and asking about reptile or climbing branches ..
Everyone I know uses the ones found locally .. hopefully someone will know more about any trees / branches you should avoid .. I cut them to length and hot-glue them in place ...

I also use weathered driftwood for snake Viv decorations ..
