Did a quick search & didn't find a thread devoted to this so here goes.
Which do you prefer & which do you have? All i've found is that Females get a little larger & SOME males MAY not like being handled as much, but other than that, nothing.... which leads me to conclude that there isn't much beyond that & which one you get is based purely on owner preference....
so vote away & state your reasons for your preference.

THE Male Vs Female thread
In my opinion, unless you're breeding, there's no need for a specific like to one or the other. When I bought my bp, I chose her on the breeders website cuz she looked adorable. Then she emailed me asking if I'd like to know which sex she is. Just for future references and stuff, I said sure and found out it was a female ball I purchased. I was fine with that. I would've been just as fine with a male. Other than size, I don't see any differences in males and females. I'm happy with either.

I really don't care for the most part. For anything I want to breed (my cresties for example) I prefer having more females than males (makes housing easier), but an equal ratio is good.
If I got an RTB or some other kinda of big snake, I would try to get a male, simply becuase as a rule, they are smaller.

I have two males and one female BP. I plan on breeding someday when my female is big enough, so that's why I'm glad I have her.
Also, it sounds kind of harsh and money-minded, but say you have to sell your snakes in the future. Or something happens to you, and someone close to you has to disperse of them. Females are always in demand, even normals; check out what big normal females are going for. While many times adult males are harder to sell especially if they're normals.
But if you need a snake for a pet, I would highly suggest getting a male. They are not as "desirable" for the big breeders, and they need somewhere to be cared for and loved.
