    I've heard some people don't provide hides. I'm of the opinion that you should always provide a hide, branches to climb etc. Because sure, the snake might not use it for months but what happens when it finally wants to use it an it's not there? It causes stress which leads to rubbing, pushing and striking and an all round bad tempered animal. Not judging anyone else but I think you should give your snake as many options as possible regardless of species because they didn't choose to be captives. We chose that.
