I'd love to be able to accommodate a fennec fox. Definitely a dream-only critter for all the reasons foxes dont make great pets, but if I had the means/time to get around those... who could say no to these adorable little guys??
Of course, I'd also love to have an American Alsatian dog. They're pricey and not quite at their goal for the breed standards yet. They're being developed as a breed of large companion dogs, since most large dogs are working types with high energy, and to look like the extinct dire wolf is thought to have looked. So, selectively breeding from a few base breeds to get the temperament and look they want. [Sounds similar to snake breeding a bit... hmmm.]
They're even working to out outcross fhe breed enough in development to eliminate most of the issues larger dogs suffer (hip dysplasia and the like)
