Feeding under sized rats
Hi all,
Recently I'm having a really issue getting rats the right size for my little baby. Been to $ different reptile shops that stock frozens and everywhere seems to have sold out or cant even get ho;d of them atm. Yesterday I had to get Large wieners (these are on the smaller end of large wieners) when she is normally eating (big) small rats, she could now even move on to medium rats (if on the small end of the scale). I know in this case i can feed her 2 of the wieners but my question is when to? Do I feed her one then when shes finished that offer another straight away or is it best to wait a day even 2 days or even feed her one tonight then wait till mid week to feed her the next? Or again is it more down to her to pick and choose when she wants the next one? after calling around ive managed to get some ordered in for me but at the earliest I wont have them till a week saturday.
Any help would be great cheers

If she will take two then you can feed two weans instead of one medium. Some snakes will only take one.
Also a couple of half-sized feedings won't hurt her if you have to wait for the medium rats to arrive. Snakes in the wild don't have the correct-sized prey magically appear in front of them at regular intervals.

Agree with what's posted above, or you could just feed one at a time, and expect her next meal to be a day or 2 sooner. (but not less than 7 days apart)

I agree with both replies above. As for when to offer the second, go ahead and offer once she has completely swallowed the first. She may take it , she may not. But as long as the two combined are an appropriately sized meal, there's no harm in her eating both back to back.
