I bought the same size (in white) when I moved in with Katie. Everyone now is on different sized rodents, and will be for the most part.

Don't like the white, but it's in a basement storage room, so I can hardly complain. Works great and is the perfect size.

At least when Solana (9g baby Corn snake) is full grown, she will eat the same size mice as Figment (adult corn snake).

Shayna (BP) will forever be on medium rats and Behira (2 year old BCI female) will be done with medium rats sooner than later and on to larges and XL.

They are pretty energy efficient these days and it's way better keeping rodents in there than the main freezer in the house!

I have a whole home generator, but if you don't, and lose power, get the rodents out quickly! When moving from my old house to Katie's house, my soon to be father-in-law unplugged the (old) freezer to move it to get to something and didn't plug it back in!

We realized it a week later! Needless to say, the freezer, along with it's contents, got thrown out immediately upon realizing the mistake. I will never forget that smell!

They’re fine for a bit if you don’t open the freezer when the power is out. Obviously not for a week though

I almost went for a 3 cubic foot model but it was hardly any cheaper than this one. This is probably more space than I need but I’d rather have it and not need it than the other way around hah

My wife is letting my expand my snake collection but one of the conditions is that I need to move my feeders out of the kitchen freezer.

Luckily we already have an extra refrigerator in the basement next door to where I'll be setting up my rack, we had our fridge from the old house and the new house came with one too.

Good tip on the ice packs too.

I have this one, it fills up fast when you buy frozen 5-6 pound chickens and rabbits:
    http://products.geappliances.com/app...pecs/FCM22DLWW

Got it used on CL for $250. The seller had two and I only had enough money for one at the time. I should have sold plasma or pawned some jewelry to get the other one.

Now THAT’S a freezer! I’ve only got the two super dwarves, a ball python and a baby bcc so 5 cubic feet will serve me well

Dang!!! That's a deal!!! Did it come out of a failed restaurant or something? That freezer at that price makes me think so.
