Check where you would never think a snake would be or want to go. I have never had a snake escape so that's all I can think of.
You probably shouldn't let your snake loose without monitoring it. I know you did not mean to lose your BP, but snakes should really not be loose without someone making they don't get lost or hurt. jmo
