Snakes on a plane AZ ----> OR
I really don't wanna sell any of my snakes when I move to Oregon from AZ.
Has anyone ever put snakes on a plane as cargo?
If so please tell me about your experiences, all advice welcome!!

maybe find a local breeder or use ship your reptiles or one of those services and send your snakes to yourself !

This right here. They will pack your snakes up right and you'll know exactly when they'll arrive. Just save them for the very, very last.

Shipping depends on how many and how big they are. If more than half a dozen, or if you have anything large enough that it has to go Delta versus SYR, it may be cheaper to rent a decent-sized car for a one-way drive.

You cannot just have your snake in cargo like you would your dog, your snakes need to be shipped either using Fedex or using Delta.
So if you already have family where you are moving you can ship the animal to them, if not you will need to leave the animal to someone so they can ship them to you, it's not complicated however there are guidelines I would recommend if you have never shipped before https://www.shipyourreptiles.com/en/...ping-standards (this applies regardless of the method you chose to ship your animals.)

What about you? Are you driving there? Snakes travel VERY well by car...I've traveled farther than you're going (across 5 states the last time I moved) & had a dog,
some rodents and 15 snakes with me. I stayed in hotels that allowed dogs & paid the surcharge for dog (and they really appreciate seeing that you have a crate for
your dog, btw) but never "mentioned" my other (ahem) "companions". Small cages are easy to hide in a box or with a towel over, and all snakes should travel ONLY
in "ice chests" (or styrofoam boxes), which to any normal person just looks like your snacks for the road trip...it's never questioned when you bring your stuff in from
your car. You want to securely bag each snake (how many do you have?) & not crowd them, use multiple ice chests if needed; a towel under their bags for absorption
in case & also padding. I took out my snakes each night to give a drink of water, they were all mellow as could be, not stressed. Very easy traveling with snakes. Be
sure you don't feed them prior to the trip...let them be "empty" for 10 days prior. And for altitude & seasonal temperature changes, take some heat packs for portable
warmth enroute. You should also use one of those folding foil-lined windshield reflectors to cover the ice chest(s) to keep the sun that's coming thru the car windows from over-heating the ice chests while on the road. You want your mind on the road, not the back seat.
