    The heat source in my cages very rarely get used. I only have a single piece of 11x24 flexwatt on one side. The rest of the cage sits around 77-80F. And then my snakes still sit on the cool side 90% of the time lol. Only time i really see them on top of the heat tape is when they are shedding. Despite a lot of people saying you need to keep snakes really warm since they are tropical, i have found mine dont really like it that warm.

    As for pooping, my BP goes months without pooping, but then again, she goes months without eating too lol. The retic is a poo machine. He poops every 4-5 days, same with the GTP. The boas all poop anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month.
