Re: Hello everyone!
Welcome! We've already "met" on a few other posts, but glad to have you on the forum.
Here's my eclectic collection:
0.1 - Albino Spider BP: Shayna - Have wanted an albino BP since I was a kid - and she is awesome.
0.1 - Ghost BCI: Behira - Amazing animal; beautiful and brave and docile.
1.0 - Hypo Lavender Corn: Figment - Beautiful, amazing temperament, and eats like a champ
0.0.1 - Northern Blue Tongue Skink: Frank - Awesome animal - amazing personality.
0.3 - Leopard Geckos, all different and beautiful morphs - Different personalities, but all fun and easy and pretty animals.
0.1 - SCALELESS Sunglow Motley Corn: Solana - Can't wait!!!!!!!!
Many, many, many people on here have BP's.
I do too, but it's been nice to see some more Boa people and Colubrid people on here and/or sharing more. Also, happy to hear about BTS and LG's.
I think you will make a wonderful addition and continue to diversify the site.
Awesome collection, by the way!

Almost all of them are named in themes, either TV shows or books. It's always fun when someone recognizes one of them. Means you've got good taste, LOL!

I'd love to see some pics of your King (I just love Kings) and Mandarin rats. Sorry if I missed them somewhere already.
Are your mandarins a breeding pair?
Can you tell me a bit about your experience with mandarins?
I've got a few on my wishlist ahead of a Mandarin rat, but that's quite possibly my next colubrid if I don't run out of space.
Thanks in advance!!!

Oh, I also forgot to add my Trans Pecos ratsnakes to the list, it looks like. Orlando and Echo, both Silver Blondes. Great species!
Okay Mandarins. Love them, calmest, most handleable of all our Asian ratsnakes. Closest to their New World cousins in temperament. Husbandry is difficult to pin down, half the keepers with caresheets treat them like the Oreocryptophis species, the rest more like a typical North American colubrid. That confused the heck out of me until I researched their range in the wild, which is huge and varies a ton in temps and humidity. I'm guessing various keepers' success with different methods depended on where their imports were collected from. So I suggest questioning whoever you get one from as to how they keep theirs and following with what's working for them.
Ours are a male and a female but though I've tried these last three years, they won't breed for me. I'm as sure as I can be that they are sexed right and the male always gives it a go ... but no eggs. I can tell they are different localities and am wondering if that has anything to do with it but I haven't heard from anyone else about any comparability issues breeding ones from widely separated parts of their range. I have no background info on them, as we lucked into them at a local-ish Expo that usually never has anything that interesting there. Found Inara first at a reptile petstore vendor when the boss let one of the employees be a little more wild and crazy on their ordering. She was a 13 gram hatchling. Malcolm was found next year at a different, pet store type, vendor to the same show. He was a sub adult at the time.
Here is Inara, she has a lot more red on her and is a fair amount smaller than Malcolm.
