It's best if snakes consume little or no substrate while under our care (even if it does happen in nature) & the good news is, it's easily prevented. Just feed
your snake on a "plate"....no, not your granny's antique china...just something like cardboard that SERVES as a plate. A shoebox lid works, a paper plate, etc.
Whatever keeps the substrate from sticking all over the dead prey.
