Suggestions on AP Stands / Cabinets

    3 questions for you...
    1. Does the cage sit on top of the posts as well as the shelf (is it 4'x2' including where the posts are)?
    2. What height posts are you using?
    3. Do you think the wire shelves would pose a problem when using heat tape on the bottom of the cage?

I've been looking for a solution to put my two stacks of AP cages on casters and this might just be the ticket. From their description, it sounds like these would hold enough weight for a stack of cages.
    1. Yes, 4x2 includes the posts
    2. These are 14” tall posts but the casters add about another 6”
    3. Not necessarily. I have three long boards 1”x6”x72” acting as risers under this cage because the posts extended slightly above the height of the shelf, leaving a gap between the bottom of the cage and the shelf top. Otherwise the center of the cage isn’t directly supported and could possibly sag. I just painted them matte black so they match the cages. Ideally I’d use a sheet of plywood so there’s full contact along the entire bottom of the cage which would also ensure the heat tape was in full contact with the bottom of the cage

And yes, they’ll hold a ton of weight. I’ve currently got two T8s and a T25 on this rack/cart/shelf with zero issues. Large casters roll easily on carpet as well
