    Sure people will tell you how great these el cheapo models are until they fail in the wide open mode and burn their animal. In fact there was just a thread about a few weeks (?) ago. Fortunately, the member caught the failure before the snake was harmed. He got off easy.
    I definitely have intentions of getting herpstats and in no way do i negate the value of investing in a quality t-stat, simply offer the info as a better than nothing solution. I also run the dimmers with the thermostats and i run che's at lowest possible wattage to achieve required temps. I have dreams/plans of a fully automated glorious display room running all redline series herpstats. Soon.
