Is there anything else I could try? The heating lamp just seems to suck up all the humidity. It's 25-30% with the light on and 50-60% percent when it's off. The heating pad does nothing.
First off, it's not the "wrong tank", it's just not the "best tank". I've successfully used glass for many years. It's just a little more work.

I wrap the outside (back, two sides and top) in 1/2" foam board insulation. It helps with heat and humidity control.
    A) it keeps heat in, requiring less artificial heat from lamps.
    B) it's foil wrapped on one side, so I put that side down on the screen and it holds humidity in.
    C) it also blocks the back and sides providing security for the snakes.

All that said, there are countless ways to boost humidity. Adding a second water bowl helps, sphangnum moss in spots helps, etc...etc...
