Bad news I've taken it all apart had a leak the silicon I spent ages originally trying to get hold off turned out to be useless.
I have because of this and having the Viv striped empty been able to modify the top hide area and in my opinion it's better I'll post pics when it's finished.

Yeah from a cleaning point of view it's great. I've just had a leak thought and had to add more screws to the Viv as the soil had started to push the bottom out

Yea, I don't do any plants but I also do PVC. I sealed with lexel so no leaks for me. I'm going to redo my bush viper enclosures and put real plants in there, but for my cobra tank, not a chance. He destroys everything in his enclosure.

Either of you guys ever had the woodlice or springtails get out of PVC cages? Been thinking of doing a bioactive set up for Pat in his AP cage when i get it but i dont want springtails and woodlice climbing the walls and getting out through the vents.

My spring tails are thriving there's 1000s if not more and never had problems with them or my woodlice. Originally I had bean weavels in I hated them we were finding them downstairs in the bathroom everywhere but all of a sudden they just died out. I have 3 vents in the back one at soil height and there's always a mill or 2 gap between the glass. I can only speak for those 3 insects others may escape

I haven't noticed any getting out since I've been doing it. For the most part they seem to stay grouped up where the food is.

If you're planning on going bio, order I forget what they call it, a master colony or something. Then you split them into containers and get them populated, this way you can seed the tanks, make sure you do that for about a week before you put the snake in. I put oak leaves for a food source and I use real organic dirt, sphagnum moss and sand mixture. I also mist the enclosures still just for humidity purposes.
