I think OP said that they found the eggs scattered, so it sounds like leaving them as-is could be dangerous for them how they were found.

OP, maybe try to do a search on YouTube? I'm pretty sure Brian Barczyk and some other breeders have posted videos with info on how to candle eggs and what to look for. I'm not an expert, but that will probably give you the quickest answers, especially with the super short thread title.
