    Mojave color variations?

    Hey i was wondering about the color variatons on mojaves i picked up 2 (1 male, 1 female) they are from different breeeders the male is dark and the female is bright is this normal or is there some other genes at play?

    That first snake looks more like a mojave yellowbelly to me.

    Yeah, there definitely is, the lack of any dorsal striping is a dead giveaway as well.

    Not bad at all, the side pattern does indicate that there is mojave in that snake, but there is something else as well, my guess is yellowbelly but there are a few other possibilities as well.

    awesome I think you are right that's the closest thing I have found maybe some others will chime in with some other possibilities. Now I wish I would have asked the pairing when I bought him I didn't think anything of it till I had another Mojave to compare him to

    My Mojave girl has bright yellows. Her mom was bright as well until adulthood then greyed out as most of them do. The breeder said as far as he knows was just Mohave.

    Love her high yellow, my male is not black he almost has a cinnamon complexion to him even Mojave patterning it's not bright it's almost hot chocolate looking idk lol
