I had a red bulb once, and my ball python would "flinch", when I first turned it on. They can absolutely see red light.

I have red LEDs with one of mine and its doesn't seem to be an issues at all. We can't all be right.

Well, “seems not to be an issue.” Is not as good evidence as a ball python flinching at red light being turned on. Im not saying it is an “issue” just saying they can see red light based on simple observation and testing.

How else do you explain the jerking reaction at the exact moment of a red light being turned on? Coincidence?
