My 2 that are my "Garbage Disposals"

2 of my 10 BP's are what I call my Garbage Disposals. 1 male Coral Glow, Yellow Belly, 100 het Pied and 1 Female Mystic Potion, Orange Dream. Both of these eat like it's going out of style, eat even when in shed, and have never refused a meal. They are growing at an amazing rate. The reason I call them garbage disposals is that if any of my others refuse feed, I can always count on these 2 to take a 2nd one so I dont have to throw prey out.
I got the Male on 10/11/17 at 68 grams and he is now 448 grams
I got the Female on 11/12/17 at 306 grams and she is now 846 grams.

I only feed once a week so I don't think I'm overfeeding but this just seems like rapid growth.

Anyone else think I'm overfeeding? They are both on small rats and can take them down with ease. Believe me when I say I'm not complaining about the rapid growth, It is just more than I expected.

Very funny you said that. The male is named "Piglet" for that exact reason.

I don't think you are overfeeding, young snakes can take more food without getting obese since they are using the energy for growth. Snakes grow faster when Fed more. Would probably slow the feedings down once they reach about 900 grams or so.. seems they really start adding more girth than growth when they reach that size, at least for me.

Re: My 2 that are my "Garbage Disposals"

Miss Snow refused her food again this week. I think she has breeding on her mind at 640 grams. Bob my boy keeps trying to get to her. LOL Slow down kiddos. I took the rat Miss Snow refused and tossed it to Rainbow my reticulated python (despite having eaten Thursday last week) which she slammed quickly. Only have had her for a couple of days but she eats anything you put in front of her. From her behavior she is looking for food almost all the time. Love her so much.
