Get tongs if you don't have them. Dangling it by hand is an accident waiting to happen. If you pinch their shoulder scruff you can hold them at a natural angle and help your chances of switching future live to ft eater without problems too.

I did initially use tongs but I kept dropping the mice when I did it that way so I switched to just using my hand. But you're absolutely right, I should get a better pair of tongs and try to feed him that way to prevent an accident. Thanks for the advice
