In any case, I hope your new addition arrives safely! Have you found a local source for rabbits yet? I'm sure she will eventually need to go on them. I know some people sell f/t rabbits online (and pigs) but prices are crazy.
I have 2 pet stores that sell FT rabbits and 1 that sells pigs and the first one sales quail and chicken also.
Any suggestions on unboxing her? The least stressful way? Should I handle her a min or just sit the box in her enclosure and let her come out on her own? I have received BPs and Corns in the mail before but this is a Retic. I want to have a good relationship with her.

I'd put the box in her new home and slightly open the lid so she can slither out and investigate when she's ready ...

I just open the box calmly and then usually snip the draw string on the bag since the breeders i get my snakes from freakin tie it, zip tie it and then tape it lol. So it's like trying to untie the gordian knot. Once i get it open, i just peek inside without getting my face close to get tagged and cradle the bottom of bag or set it on the floor. Usually i get one of 2 responses, the snake is like "OMG I'M FREE" and climbs out or "I was relaxing in here and WHO are you". First response makes it easy, second response means either gently turn the bag over so the snake slides or slide your hand in the bag and see what happens. I have yet to get bit by sliding my hand inside the bag. Louie did take 2 shots at me when i pulled him out though lol. But he was really stressed. I think FedEx played soccer with his box
No idea who Illaoi is but my little buddy Dutti is gone. He was our resident snake expert!!

I agree. If she comes in a bag, I'd untie it and leave the bag in her enclosure or gently tip her out of it in the enclosure. I've unbagged and handled all of mine to look for any issues, but none of mine wanted to nail me in the face lol. I think leaving the bag in the enclosure and allowing her to come out on her own would probably be least stressful.

I do want to inspect her but I think I will use this method. I just know she will be stressed. I don't want our first interaction to be a stressful one. Her enclosure is up to temp and all set up for her. She is at the local hub but I am at work the next 8 hours. I want to have peaceful positive energy when I handle her the first time. Will keep everyone posted and will put photos up asap.
Oh damn so she’s there and you are just stuck at work ...?
i think you look sick... tummy ache ? You should go home early !!!
I know! Right? I can't though. I'm the only person that does what I do here at the hospital I work at. And when they need me they need me. I just feel bad for her being stuck in that cold box.
It is an hour drive to the FedEx hub to pick her up. Then 1.5 hour drive home after I get her. Will try to get a weight and length measurements after she is settled. The box with her in it was 7lbs.
