LMAO So true. I have been so much reading and studying and preparing and building. She's 7 feet long and 5 lb. He said he had her on a maintenance diet to keep her small. She's going in a custom-made 6-foot by 4-foot by 4-foot enclosure. I built it. A reticulated python that size I'm sure should be eating jumbo rats right?

Doesn't look very thick because of the maintenance feeding so id just go with a Large Rat. Dont over feed as the digestion track needs to get going after a maintenance feed for so long. Great looking, what did they say about the temperament?

Was told food aggressive but is great to be handled after she realizes you aren't food. He said has never bitten anyone while being handled.

I don't mind fattening her up on a healthy diet as long as she is nice to me

I am sure my questions will fly away but I am so looking for growing with her. The only thing that scares me is that she is not a Dwarf or SD. She will get big with proper feeding. I hope she is a good girl like the breeder said she was.

I figured she was a bit thin. My retic was eating jumbos at that size, but larges for a few meals until she thickens up is probably a good idea. I'd feed her every 2 weeks, so as not to shock her system, though every 2 weeks is (imo) a good regular schedule to keep at that size.
If she's a mainland, expect her to likely hit a major growth spurt once she starts eating normally with you...she's only 2 years old, so she may not actually grow too awfully much too quick, either. Either way, don't expect that 6' enclosure to last long!
