Hi guys! May I know what's the difference between these two types of ultratherm UTH?

Hi guys! I'm currently looking for heat mat for plastic tubs for my ball pythons. I see many people recommend Ultratherm, but I find two types of heat mat from this brand. May I know which one is good for a plastic tub? Thank you so much!!
When I use them, is it correct that I stick them with foil tapes to the bottom of the tub and place a probe between it and the tub? Is it OK if it's not flat placed since there's a probe between it and the tub? And then can I put them directly on some books without air space? Thank you so much!

I am pretty sure it’s the same exact thing if you were doing what I did you found one on Amazon and the other one looks like a picture from the reptile basics website. Reptile basics actually sells them cheaper and you were going to have to pay shipping either way. I too am planning to use one for a tub set up that I am going to put together. I was planning on doing the same thing and using heat tape to put it on the pad or possibly just laying it on the table So that I could slide the tub out or move it around without having to disconnect. I am not too sure about putting it directly on box or how hot it gets on the underside hopefully someone else will chime in there and help you out. But yes you are correct you want to put the thermostat probe between the mat and the tub. There won’t be much of a lift and it should not be a problem

Using the thermostat to regulate the heat mat should prevent it from getting warm enough to damage anything (if set correctly). Keep your heat mat outside of the tub. Rest it (or tape it) to the surface you will place your tub on, then tape your thermostat probe on top. If you tape anything on the bottom of your tub it can be challenging to move the tub for things such as cleaning. If you are using a thermostat, heat buildup shouldn't be a problem so you shouldn't need an airspace. If your tub doesn't have a flat bottom you can make a riser to lift the mat closer to the tub bottom.
