Iridescent python?
Hey everyone! My new girl (still nameless) just shed today so I thought I'd share some pictures of her fresh new skin! Unfortunately its not daylight but I can update them later. However, the woman I bought her from had described her as almost "iridescent" on her black areas...and since I bought her in shed I see it now! Is this common, what causes it? Her back seems to throw more glisten-y greens and her head shines more blue from certain angles. Unfortunately, you cannot see this in the photos I posted.

I cant see the picture but its pretty normal for a healthy snake to have that sheen especially with fresh skin.

Great looking snake Pictures work for me fine thru Tapatalk.
most of my boas are iridescent too, especially if they have just shed, hard to catch it on pics sometimes

Yup perfectly normal, every snake (or almost every, I haven't seen every species irl so lol) is iridescent to some degree. I even see it in my albinos and my keel-scaled garters, it's just harder to see with them.
