Some years back I collected a 7 foot long boa constrictor from an apartment. Seems that a college student had his boa out, went to answer his phone, and then couldn't find the snake. Several weeks after the student moved out, the snake reappeared. The new tenants were not happy about it. Things like that explain why I have a firm policy of never taking a snake out when I cannot keep an eye on it.
