    Royals also sounds so much more classy as well IMHO

    We don't call Red Bamboo Rat snakes - Crazy Psychos or Corns snakes - Big colourful worms so why all Royals after something that some of them do occasionally ( ball up ) ??

    Loads of things bug me ...I'm constantly reading in text books that snakes are EGG LAYERS , plain and simple ...never mentions the millions of live bearing snakes out there

    Ball python is only a descriptive name of a certain behaviour of the snake. The scientific name is python regius, royal python. Red tail is only a descriptive name of a certain body part of the snake! And because we have dark red tail(BCC) and light red tail(BCI) and Boas with a very dark tail, not red at all rather almost black tail (BCO), using this pet trade term creates a confusion
