Fruit and veggies work too, but for Leopard Gecko's I am not sure what is best. When I had a beardie I used the food he ate. The above is what I do for my Leopard Geckos.

I also supplement with vitamins and calcium (more often than vitamins) on the food (not every feeding) when I feed, so I want the food to be nutritious and juicy, but not necessarily stuffed with veggies.

It can also get messy with fresh veggies in there.
i have seen the store bought foods, mine would eat that 20oz jar in a couple days, they eat like teenagers lol
