Thats so sad. It would take a long time to actually starve a python to death. Poor snake suffered a long time

That article was from 2004. Jake has had a very publicized struggle with drug and alcohol addiction for many years. There was a documentary released in 2017 where he was working really hard to get sober and I believe he has been sober since.

That really is too bad, though. Poor snake. Makes me glad I re-homed my animals when I was struggling and unable to provide proper homes, but makes me miss them and hope they're doing well. Bittersweet.

Anyway, not making excuses for Jake, but sympathizing. I get it, Jake. I'm sure that still haunts him.
