I will take mine out occasionally on my PRIVATE yard, on a very warm day, and they do enjoy soaking in the sun and hiding in the grass. It is just for very short, supervised sessions. (No walking around town with one on my neck.) Key word here is PRIVATE. The snake feels secure and safe, with no potential predators around. Plus, there are no people to scream or call animal control.
