We are not punishing anyone, nor are we trying to drive any members away. Its more of a visual reminder to the individual, and others to tone it down a notch. Off-topic posts, one word posts, posting 10 times in the same topic saying the same thing each time, and other assorted forms of "spam" make any forum difficult and not fun to read. These are the things we want to cut down on. In the correct forum, the Off-Topic Cafe, you can talk about anything you want to. Its not really appropriate to interject a comment about someone's signature in the middle of a thread about breeding. That is not a specific example, but it is something that we as staff are seeing more often lately.
