    Confused about thermostats...?

Hey everyone, total newbie here, don’t even have a BP just yet. I’m trying to do the right thing and research my arse off prior to obtaining my first pal.

I’ve started to buy and acquire equipment little by little over the last few weeks. I’m going to get all set up and let it run to make sure it’s going smooth and well prior to the snakes arrival.

Ive raad and understand the million heating questions but something just stumped me when it came to a thermostat. I purchased the inkbird heating therm which has two plugs yet only one probe.

I was was planning to run a UTH w a basking area and a hanging heat lamp to get the ambient temps where they need to be. Yet I’m now thinking there is only one probe so with that under the heat pad it’s goong to be controlling the temp there which will be higher than what I need the heat lamp to be or so I think.

Am am I missing something or is it better to get another therm for the heat lamp. So that one is set for the heat lamp and another for the UTH to separately control each device?

One Inkbird for the UTH and another Inkbird for the heating lamp.
