    Snake exploring?

It has been 3 days since I brought my ball python. He is about 4~5 months and he weighs 134 g. He is in the 15qt plastic tub enclosure with 2 identical hides on both end. Temp of hot spot at 87~89 degrees measured by temp gun and cool side at 78. Humidity at 60~70%.
I have searched in the forum but saw different answers.
On the first day, I have noticed him wandering around the tub, guessing he was trying to explore the new environment. He had his nose go around the lid and sides. Then he went into the hide.
He has been going back and forth between warm hide and cool hide multiple times everyday. Saw more of staying at cool hides but I wasn't watching 24/7 so I am not sure.
Everyday, he comes out and moves around the tub for 5 minutes then goes back into hide. I have seen this 2~3 times a day already and I am worried now. People say that it could be due to stress but my husbandry is right on point. I have multiple thermometer and temp gun to monitor every day 2~3 times
. Could this just be his behavior? what are some factors of ball python doing this? Breeder fed him on 1/27 and didn't feed after that because I had to bring him home.

If husbandry is on point, no need to worry.

I see your worrying again.. What your describing (coming out of hide for 5 min) is normal behavior. If it was stress he would be skating the glass 24/7. Im sure if he Never came out of the hide you would be worrying too.. The snake seems to be doing fine, its you I'm worried about hahahaha. Post a few pics of him in his tub when he comes out of his hide under your progression thread and enjoy tour pet...stop worrying.

sounds normal.. mine will be his hide 90% of the time I check on him.. This morning he just had his head out. If he is out it is usually late at night.. Have you been holding him at all?
