Orion progression thread! (Butter Sucker)

Hi all!
As January creeps closer, I thought I'd just bite the bullet and start up my progression thread for our little butter sucker now! We've decided on the name Orion for the little guy

Here's the first photo I posted about two weeks ago when we put down the down payment on him:


And we went back today to have a cuddle (and take more photos!) He's so TINY!!!







We are so extremely excited to get him! Roll on payday!

We got him!
We picked up Orion just before Christmas, on the 21st. He's so tiny!! When we brought him home he was about 100g.





Here's a little blep



Orion got his first meal with up as well on Saturday (30/12), a little rat pup. I was worried it looked huge on him, but I was assured he was eating rat pups before so I rolled with it. And he struck and ate it almost straight away!

A little update on my little guy

He has eaten consistently for me (woohoo!) And today he ate two rat pups since last week I fed him and he was still looking for food. When I weighed him earlier empty he was 120g, so still a little boy!





When I hold him, he always coils his little tail around my thumb Snake cuddles are best cuddles!



And a bonus of shed comparison! I can't compare my babies due to quarintine but I can compare their sheds! Sadly Ori had a real bad one since we didn't catch him in time

Thank you! In England we don't seem to have a set term, they're f/t rat fluffs/rat pups. They're about 15-20g

A little backstory: my favourite pet food store is closing so I sent the boyf in today to buy as many rats as we could, but they were out of fluffs so I got some small weaned rats. I was measuring them up, and then had a little cuddle with Ori becuase he's just so damn cute! I wasn't paying 100% attention to him, and then... Chomp!

I guess cus I smelt like rats he mistook me for dinner
Then, since I guessed he was hungry... I fed him his first small weaner. It took him a while, but he finally got it down!




He kept trying to eat it from the side, and eventually flipped it into his water bowl lol!
And bonus: He's finally too big for his lil coconut, and so got upgraded to this hide!

It seems I only ever take photos of my little man when he is eating... How strange!
I fed him a rather large rat the other day. I measured it against his side and was pretty confident he would be able to eat it even though it was 37g to his nearly 200g... but he took it, and I checked on him 3 days later and he kept it down. Ori also shed two weeks ago, and even though I spritzed him every day it was a pretty bad one at least no shed was stuck to him this time!







And his shed... he looks so dissapointed too

Sorry a lot of them are so blurry, he's a little monkey! Never sits still I did weigh him and he's about 270g, but that's full so I'd take that with a pinch of salt lol!
